Key Details About The UAE France Data Centre Agreement

This project is going to be invested at an amount of about 30-50 billion euros and the project is aimed at developing a new AI centre in France.
This was by Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak (Chairman of Executive Affairs Authority, member of Abu Dhabi Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology council) on behalf of UAE and by Jean-Noel Barrot (Minister for Europe and foreign Affairs) and Eric Lombard (Minister for economy, Finance and industrial digital sovereignty) on behalf of France.
The agreement is signed during the Artificial Intelligence Action Summit week in Paris. The president of both countries, Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan (President of UAE) and Emmanual Macron (President of France) met each other after the signing of this agreement at Elysee Palace.
The data centre is aimed at 1 GW.
The agreement also includes investment in semiconductor chips, virtual data embassies, AI research.
The official announcement about this data centre is going to be made at the Choose France summit during the end of this year.
This partnership is aimed at establishing broader AI technologies in both countries and transformation in the digital era.
France has suggested around 35 places for setting up of this data centre with fast track administration. UAE is all set to benefit from that administration for the data centre.
